gona post about holidays before i start school again..

but i always dont regret it... cause its always worth it! haha
came up with this list of cafes I would like to try...
PS cafe was not bad!
but quite little choices i feel...
but still good
service quite ok too
almost all is sandwiches...
so if u dont like bread maybe not the best choice
will be going to Pique Nique tml!

anyway...
i think its pretty cool that a young girl like me (yeah young)knows how to pack the offerings for qing ming.
haha..
thou i only know the fur of the skin...
cos we uses different offerings during Chinese New year, the cai shen. the tian gong and guanyin, during 7th month or when you move new house, open new shop, the du di gong and even funerals..
its all different..
the colour of candles, joss sticks and type of incense paper...
really not easy and a lot of knowledge is needed in this field...
theres a lot of stories and funny conversations too.. haha
eg..
1 lady said she has been burning 1 house for her dad every year...
so her dad has so many houses, he can collect rent.
another man said that he is not buying a phone for his ancestor,
because if they call, he doesnt dare to pick up. (HAHAHAHAHAA)
another lady said, she has been burning offerings every year, but why didnt her ancestor come to say thanks or acknowledge that they have recieved it?
but i think this is a culture that is fading.. with the govt push and younger generation etc..
idk for the better or worse..
BUT. what if its true? and they can really recieve the items?
hades will face inflation too..

being a shopkeeper is not easy at all...
well, not that i didnt know
working in a incense shop is really challenging..
cause people dont know what they want to buy.
most of them only know the god and expects us to prepare and teach them how to do everything...
even worse.... even dialect groups pray to the same god/ancestors differently
uhuh.
and that reminds me.... makes me wonder actually..
why cant the dead burn something for the living to let us know that they are doing fine too?
there was this caucasian who was bought there by his friends, and he was so amazed..

it was OT09 grad dinner yesterday!
it was a arabic theme dinner along sultan gates
games were fun and food was fairly good as well..
time really flies... 3yrs gone just like that..
had a great time! =D
before that was teoheng with the FYP team
hehe
damn long since i last sang...
went to powerhouse after dinner... the music was pretty bad and wasnt high enough.. well at least entry was free.. lol
